  2. Taxi / Shuttle: A taxi or shuttle directly to West Point can cost in excess of $100. A taxi or shuttle service can be found at the Ground Transportation Page for LaGuardia Airport located here.

  3. Bus / Train: The easiest thing to do in this case is as follows:
    • Take the New York Airport Service Express Bus to Grand Central Terminal.
The fare is $10-$12, which you pay in cash to the bus driver. The busses operate once every fifteen to thirty minutes between 7:20 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.. For exact schedules call (718) 875-8200. The trip is 30-45 minutes.
    • At the Grand Central Station you can take the Metro-North Railroad (Hudson Line) to three possible locations. For other locations and schedules you can visit the Metro-North website here.

      • BEST OPTION: Peekskill - If you take the train to Peekskill, you can then take a taxi to West Point. A round-trip train fare, depending on peak/off-peak travel is between $16.00 and $25.00.
The taxi will cost approximately $25.00 plus $1.00 for the toll bridge. The taxi will normally meet all the trains, however, if you wish you can call them at
        Bynum Taxi, (914) 737-3753.

The train schedule and fares for Peekskill can be found here. You will need to indicate Peekskill as your destination and your date(s) of travel.

      • Croton-Harmon: If you take the train to Croton-Harmon, you can then take a taxi to West Point. A round-trip train fare, depending on peak/off-peak travel is between $14.00 and $22.00.
The taxi will cost approximately $42.00 plus $1.00 for the toll bridge.
The taxi will normally meet all the trains, however, if you wish you can call them at J & S Taxi: (914) 271-3333.

The train schedule and fares for Croton-Harmon can be found here. You will need to indicate Croton-Harmon as your destination and your date(s) of travel.

      • Garrison: If you take the train to Garrison, which is closest to West Point, you can then take a taxi to West Point. A round-trip train fare, depending on peak/off-peak travel is between $18.00 and $28.00.
Even though Garrison is closest to West Point, the taxi company that covers that area is from Peekskill and will charge you for having to come all the way to Garrison to get you. Therefore, the taxi will cost approximately $46.00 plus $1.00 for the toll bridge. The taxi does not normally meet all the trains,
however, if you call ahead with your arrival time, they will meet you at the station. You can reach the taxi company at Bynum Taxi, (914) 737-3753.

The train schedule and fares for Garrison can be found here. You will need to indicate Garrison as your destination and your date(s) of travel.

Train Fares: Peak fares are charged for travel on any weekday train that either arrives in Grand Central Terminal between 5 and 10 a.m. or that departs Grand Central Terminal between 4 and 8 p.m. Off-peak fares are charged at all other times during weekdays and all day Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
